Liebchen Designs is an eclectic collection of vinyl bags, backpacks, bibs and accessories.

These vegan friendly products are made with high quality vinyls, which can withstand the elements of the Canadian weather.

 

Born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, Wendy Ratcliffe moved to Toronto to attend Ryerson Polytechnic University.  Upon finishing the Apparel Design and Production program, Wendy continued on in Toronto, where she held the coveted position of  Head Designer at a prominent leather apparel company.  For 7 years she continued to develop her skills working with vinyl and leather materials.

 

Marriage and a new baby on the way brought Wendy back to lovely Ottawa, to settle down and raise a family.

 

In Wendy's spare time, (what little there is with a new baby) she began making purses and accessories.  A conscientious decision was made to eliminate leather and begin to use only vinyl materials.  Through research and testing, it was discovered that vinyl materials were as good as, if not better than the leather alternatives.

 

Wendy is pleased to offer you new and fresh designs.  All bags are drafted  and handmade here in Ottawa.  Her love of the whimsical can be seen in each of the hand cut appliques stitched to these fun bags.
